of Faurecia Automotive Composites

Luxembourg, October 25, 2021 - Ixellion today announces that a process has been initiated to acquire a majority stake of 70% of the capital of Faurecia Automotive Composites (FAC). Closing should be completed during Q1 2022.

Ixellion is a technology group with over 2 billion of assets that promotes ambitious and sustainable industrial programs in the transportation and construction sectors, based on innovative materials and breakthrough technologies, with the aim of responding to the challenges our world is facing. It currently operates in nanostructured composites materials, materials end-of-life, electric motors, and advanced R&D programs.

This agreement will support Ixellion’s ambition to become a European and global leader in high-tech materials. The integration of Ixellion’s technologies and patented innovative materials with FAC’s know how and efficient industrial footprint will accelerate the development of Ixellion’s business model for composites in key sectors like aerospace and rail, in addition to automotive. The dynamism of FAC ‘s growth process already allows to forecast a revenue increase by 70% within 2023. This trend will be boosted by additional market access and technological innovation brought by Ixellion. FAC currently employs 276 people in France, over two industrial sites and one R&D center.

As a responsible player, Ixellion has committed not to impact on jobs, contracts, collective status, and current industrial footprint of FAC.

Faurecia will support Ixellion’s project by retaining 30% of the capital of FAC at least until January 1, 2025.
